This hands-on museum is packed with interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and make learning an adventure.

We spent two hours exploring with our toddler and 8-year-old, and there was plenty to keep both of them engaged! Does your child love getting hands-on with experiments? Do they enjoy running around in imaginative play areas? There’s something for everyone at the Danville Science Center. Even if they simply enjoy watching the world in action, the Danville Science Center has it all.

First Stop: The Wonder of Water

One of the most exciting areas for little explorers is the Water Floor! This immersive exhibit allows kids to experience the science behind water in a hands-on way. They can experiment with currents, create waves, and even explore fog and the force of a hurricane! It’s a fantastic place for sensory play. There are plenty of opportunities for kids to splash. They can discover how water moves and reacts.

Exploring Science and Movement

Upstairs, the Science and Motion section offers interactive exhibits that show the physics behind different exercises. Kids can test their strength, balance, and speed while learning about how their bodies work. There’s also a creative space where children can build and experiment. This area is a hit for kids who love to tinker and invent. While this floor is geared toward older children, toddlers can still find plenty to explore and enjoy!

The Butterfly Garden
