Hi, I’m Christina-a mom of two, wife of a veteran, adventure lover, and the voice behind VA Border Kids! I’m so glad you’re here.

What started as a simple mission to find fun, affordable ways to get out of my house with my kids has turned into something much bigger–a space where families like mine(and maybe yours!) can find meaningful ways to explore, connect, and make memories without having to always travel far.

We live right on the Viriginia-North Carolina border, and over the years, I realized how many hidden gems were right in our backyard-parks, playgrounds, walking trails, festivals, splash pads, coffee shops, and even full-on weekend getaways -all within a couple hours drive.

But I also know how overwhelming it can feel to scroll for hours trying to plan a simple family outing-especially when you’re working with a tight budget or little ones in tow. That’s why I created VA Border Kids- to that take guesswork out of local fun and make it easier for parents to say “yes” to more adventures.
